Isn’t she beautiful?
This is the 2008 Kawasaki GTR 14, known in the US and Canada as the Concours.
It’ is based on the fastest production bike on the planet, the venerable ZZR14.
Smooth as silk. Fast as a fighter jet. Variable valve timing. Four-pot double caliper brakes.
1400 CC’s of goodness.
And it’s mine! I’ve placed the order. I’ll meet her next week. I can’t stop grinning. And with this bike, the grins are only just beginning.

Gorgeous! (I see Bruce has a seat too.)
Beautiful bike, a mate got one over here…splendid but I think the exhaust is a bit fugly……Mr Yoshimura wants to take a look at that!
Yeah, I’ve been looking into after market pipes and cans. Muzzy (same company I had on my ZRX) makes a duel pipe titanium set-up. It’s beautiful, and sounds great. (Think I heard it on Youtube or something).
But I’ll probably only be able to afford a can only. I’ll look at Yosh again, but I don’t think they make on for this bike.
Now, if you ever visit the States again, just bring the bike along and I’ll take you to the best 11 mile stretch (read 318 curves) in the US.
Oh. Make sure you bring your leathers & pucks.
Aye, the infamous Deal’s Gap in NC. Been there, enjoyed it. But too many inexperienced kids on rockets. It’s crazy.
There’s a curve or two here in Scotland too…
So the sport-touring bug bit you as well, huh? Is this in addition to the other one, or a replacement?
Meet up somewhere in the middle, sometime?
Replacement, unfortunately. Can’t afford two! The Versys was awesome, but
just lacked in horses. I’ll get another one Someday.
But I finally got the GTR14 today! Wow. Just wow. I’m very pleased. Now we start with the mods…
Yes, definately meet middlish and soonish!
(Well, I need to break her in first – 1,000 miles…)
That last smiley isn’t mine. I *NEVER* use emoticons. Goddamn computers.
